Blame

We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers – you can blame anyone but never blame yourself. It’s never your fault. But it’s always your fault, because if you wanted to change, you’re the one who has got to change. It’s as simple as that, isn’t it?

Today begins my new life.  Today I commit to myself.  Today I will allow myself to be free.

Free of guilt.  Free from responsibility to others.  Free to make up my own mind.

I will be strong.  I will be the woman I would want to love.  I will be the me I used to know.

I will let go of blame.  I will let go of resentment.  I will let go of my fear of disappointing others.

In one word, I will CHANGE.
